The Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) Sagehens flocked to Merritt field on Wednesday, March 5, for a rainy rivalry game against the Athenas, taking a 12 to 11 overtime victory thanks to Chloe Denhart PO ’27 and a persistent defensive performance.

Trophies all around: CMS and P-P swim into nationals as champions

Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) and Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) swam into the playoffs, both squads leaving the SCIAC championships with a trophy. The CMS men’s team took home first place for the sixth consecutive season, and the women got second. The P-P women took home the first-place trophy for the second year in a row, while the men took home second. Both teams had standout individual performances, propelling them both into nationals.

Sagehens edge out Banana Slugs to come out victorious in first round of NCAA tournament

On Saturday, Nov. 16, the Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) women’s soccer team won a thriller against UC Santa Cruz in the first round of the NCAA Division III tournament. Tied after 110 minutes of regular play, perfect penalties from Maxine Davey PO ’25, Ella Endo PO ’25, Taylor Marshall PZ ’26, Spencer Deutz PZ ’25 and Vivian Rojas Collins PO ’27 were enough for the Sagehens to prevail.
