Based on the score at halftime Saturday, you wouldn’t have known the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (9-2-1, 6-0-1 SCIAC) and Pomona-Pitzer (3-7-2, 2-4-1 SCIAC) men’s soccer teams had been duking it for 45 minutes. The score was still 0-0.
Wednesday’s soccer game hosted by P-P (3-6-2, 2-3-1 SCIAC) against Whittier went into double overtime, but to no avail — the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
After a post-foul free kick by Graeme Logan PZ ’23 found the back of the net in minute 22, the Sagehens (2-5-1, 1-2 SCIAC) found their footing and came out on top 3-0.
Though they’re a regular season juggernaut, postseason luck has been nothing short of nightmarish for the Sagehen women’s soccer team (7-0-1, 3-0 SCIAC) in recent years.
