Down to six football teams, the SCIAC is forced to change format

Could Sixth Street go back to back? After the Sagehens and the Stags split the SCIAC title in 2022, the implementation of a conference championship game in 2023 has both teams ready for an undisputed Claremont champion. Next year, CMS and P-P will compete in the new format for SCIAC football. They will be in different pods composed of three SCIAC teams each and both CMS and P-P are hopeful of finishing on top of their respective groups to face each other in the championship game for the chance, once again, to compete with their sixth-street rivals for a bid to the NCAA DIII playoffs.

Sagehens soar past Poets in emphatic 40 point victory

Was it writer’s block? The Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens silenced the Whittier College Poets last Saturday at home for their biggest win of the season. The final scoreboard read 115-70, a 45 point lead to secure P-P’s victory.
