On Saturday, Oct. 19, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) football took down La Verne in a 57-14 rout. Coming off of a 41-13 loss to Chapman, the Stags rebounded with a 43-point score differential against the Leopards, improving their record to 5-1 overall and 3-1 in SCAIC.

Any good team needs a strong defense and Patricia DePalma PO ‘27 is the backbone of the Sagehens’ shutout-quality defense this year. The Stags tamed the Panthers at Roberts in a tight game on Saturday, Feb. 3 with a final score of 82-79, bringing their 2023 dominance into the new year. So far CMS has only dropped one game after the break and now has a conference record of 11-2.

‘Season still up for grabs’: P-P women’s basketball looks to move ahead after dramatic loss to Panthers

P-P proved if they go down, they go down fighting. Last Wednesday, the Pomona-Pitzer women’s basketball team lost a heartbreaking match to the Chapman Panthers. The final scoreboard read 66-62 in favor of Chapman, but didn’t reflect the incredible comeback PP had made from trailing the entire game, sometimes by as many as 15 points.
