CMS stags basketball trample over the Sagehens’ hope of a postseason berth in a packed one shot game. The Stags earned a second half comeback by executing their game with great exigence and energy, and rode the momentum to a SCIAC league title, defeating California Lutheran in finals.
“We just studied the game plan and stayed aggressive and we just tried to attack them…we just tried to turn that up in the 2nd half and just continuing to take it play by play, we knew it was going to be a grind out game.” said Caelan Jones CGU ‘25.

Sagehens baseball give Whitman Blues the weepies in 2-1 series whopping
P-P men’s baseball beat down the Whitman Blues with a 2-1 game count, closing up the last series of the Hen’s preseason. The Sagehens relied on hot bats in the first two games, earning a cumulative 13 runs in the first game combined with a pair of shutouts but faltered in the final game of the series.
Hens softball parlays with Pirates, split weekend double header versus Whitworth
Sagehens softball shut out the Whitworth Pirates 5-0 in the first game of their preseason double-header on Friday, Feb. 16 but couldn’t achieve the sweep and fell in the afternoon 4-2 at home. Though they kept the energy up through all seven innings, the Hens had a hard time converting this energy to runs in the batter’s box.
Underclassmen sharp shooters come alive in second half as Sagehens take the Sixth Street crown
In their last home game of the season the Sagehens displayed their three-point shooting and flapped their way to the top of the scoreboard to bring home the sixth street trophy on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Voelkel Gym with a final score of 67-54.

All nested in, the Sagehens men’s soccer team kicked off the last game of their preseason with a bang, defeating the Linfield Wildcats 3-2 in an eventful back-and-forth showdown on Sunday, Sept. 10.
