Winning back-to-back SCIAC Athlete of the Week accolades, Matheis broke the previous 3-meter record of 383.85 points with a whopping 391.28 points on Saturday, Nov. 2 during a victorious meet against Cal Lutheran.

The Athenas took care of business on the volleyball court on Saturday, Nov. 2 with a dominant sweep of the Redlands Bulldogs. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS), who secured the SCAIC title with this win, led Redlands in all statistics in this game, crushing any chance of an upset.
CMS women’s soccer take down Tigers in pursuit of SCIAC title
The Athenas tamed the Tigers with back-to-back victories, beating Occidental 3-1 on the road last week before taking them down 1-0 at home on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) women’s soccer is now ranked No. 3 in SCIAC, behind No. 1 ranked rivals Pomona-Pitzer (P-P).
P-P cross country shows out at home invitational after pre-nationals win
After flying to top finishes at the NCAA Division III Pre-Nationals, the Hens returned to the nest for the annual Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) Cross Country Invite on Saturday, Oct. 20. The men’s team placed first in the 8K and the women’s team placed second in the 6K behind rivals Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS).

The Hens men’s water polo team took to the pool in a back-and-forth SCIAC matchup against La Verne on Wednesday, Oct. 23, defeating the Leopards 17-2 after 32 minutes of close play. The women’s soccer team kept their 10 game winning streak over the Athenas alive for yet another Sixth-Street beatdown. Ella Endo PO ’25 and Hannah Hong PO ’26 led the hens in scoring with a goal apiece in the biggest rivalry game of their season.
