P-P women’s soccer falls to Cal Lutheran in SCIAC finals, looks to NCAA tournament

With an undefeated regular season in the conference, Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) women’s soccer played Cal Lutheran in the SCIAC tournament final on Nov. 9 to claim the cherry on top: a championship. Unfortunately, however, the Sagehens fell short in a 2-1 defeat despite taking the early lead. Defender Vivian Rojas Collins PO ’27 believed that the final score did not explain the whole story, as the Hens’ second half showed their strengths.

Athenas outlast Sagehens to clinch SCIAC championship and NCAA berth

On Saturday, Nov. 9 the Athenas took down the Sagehens in an intense 1-0 soccer Sixth Street battle. After falling to the Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) in this year’s first two matchups, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) flipped the script, finally defeating the SCIAC regular season champions.
