In sunny Southern California, several schools, including Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS), hosted the Gary Troyer Invitational for men’s water polo. In a competitive pool of several nationally ranked programs, the Stags defeated all four of their opponents, including a big upset vs. UC Irvine.

CMS, P-P men’s water polo kick off the season at UCSD’s Triton Invitational
On Sept. 7 and 8, the Stags and Sagehens men’s water polo teams left the comfort of Claremont to face Division I foes at UC San Diego’s Triton Invitational. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps’ (CMS) 12-11 win against UC Merced allowed the newest players to showcase their abilities before the start of the regular season.
