Sagehens steal series from Stags en route to conference playoffs

Despite a somewhat disappointing follow-up to last year’s success, the Sagehens are still just one game back of the third-seeded Stags in the SCIAC.

New starters, new season, same success: P-P baseball season opener

On Saturday, Feb. 8, the Sagehens, currently eighth in Division III rankings, declawed the No. 10 East Texas Baptist University Tigers 2-1 on Alumni Field to open their season. After a rainout on Friday afternoon, the Sagehens took the field behind pitchers Max Brunngraber PZ ’27 and Will Polishuk PO ’28 for their first collegiate starts.

Sagehens’ baseball dominated the Stags 14-1 in the sixth street series opener on Friday, March 1 at Alumni field. Jake Hilton PO ’25 contained Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) with eight strikeouts while the bats got working in the bottom of each inning, getting the Hens on base early and often.
