On the heels of last year’s college world series appearance, Sagehens baseball got a much-needed sixth Street win over the Stags in a 2-1 series victory at home on April 12. Despite a somewhat disappointing follow-up to last year’s success, the Sagehens are still just one game back of the third-seeded Stags in the SCIAC.

Olympian Brittany Brown brings bronze back to Claremont
The colors of Claremont High School (CHS) flew next to a miniature Team USA flag on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at the city’s ceremony honoring Olympic bronze medalist Brittany Brown. Brown, a CHS graduate, competed in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris where she medaled in the 200-meter dash.

Pomona College moves commencement off campus during student encampment on Marston Quad
On Friday, May 10, Pomona College President G. Gabrielle Starr emailed a statement to the Pomona community announcing Pomona’s commencement ceremony, scheduled for Sunday, May 12, would be moved off campus to the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Sagehens women’s water polo three-peats as national champions to cap off weekend of P-P dominance over CMS
Finals season started early for athletes at the Claremont Colleges as the Sagehens and Athenas looked to make the grade in a trio of championship showdowns on Sixth Street. Ultimately, it was straight A’s for the Hens on the semester, sending the Athenas home with no credit and no titles.
