Down to six football teams, the SCIAC is forced to change format
Could Sixth Street go back to back? After the Sagehens and the Stags split the SCIAC title in 2022, the implementation of a conference championship game in 2023 has both teams ready for an undisputed Claremont champion. Next year, CMS and P-P will compete in the new format for SCIAC football. They will be in different pods composed of three SCIAC teams each and both CMS and P-P are hopeful of finishing on top of their respective groups to face each other in the championship game for the chance, once again, to compete with their sixth-street rivals for a bid to the NCAA DIII playoffs.

Clash at CARW: Top seeds P-P and CMS battle it out in Sixth Street shootout for SCIAC regular season title
Unfortunately for the Stags, the second time was not the charm. Swarmed by the Sagehens, who pecked away at their defense, the CMS men’s basketball team fell to their sixth street rivals in the last game of the regular season. Both teams moved onto the semi finals later that weekend, but failed to make the final game. The result of their final face-off, however, along with their better record, allowed the Sagehens to receive a bid for the D-III NCAA tournament which they will compete at this weekend.
From Teal Dot to Title IX, CMS athletes are getting educated on sexual safety
More than 50 years after President Nixon signed Title IX into law, athletes in Claremont are learning from and about it. This past month, some of our Stags and Athenas have undergone training designed to equip them with the skills to prevent sexual assault and to support survivors.
