Is three times the charm? The Pomona-Pitzer men’s Cross Country team hopes so. They have won the last two NCAA DIII cross country championships and are hoping for a third. Fortunately for them, so far, so good. The Sagehens won the SCIAC on Saturday, Oct. 29th and also placed first at the NCAA West Region Championship.
For most teams, the finish line is the end of the race. However, this fall for the Pomona-Pitzer men’s cross country team, there is more at stake than the podium. In support of Pomona dining hall workers in their ongoing negotiations with the administration, the P-P cross country team is wearing pins and T-shirts to spread awareness.
Being two programs that have won multiple recent SCIAC championships, the P-P men’s and CMS women’s cross country teams again brought team titles home this year.
After running on Cornell University’s Division I cross-country team for her first two years in college, Meredith Bloss HM ’23 is now a star for CMS.
Both the Pomona-Pitzer men’s and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s cross-country teams emerged victorious at the SCIAC Championship Oct. 27 in Chino, California. The Pomona-Pitzer men’s and women’s cross-country teams swept the field at the P-P Invitational at Strehle track this weekend. Both teams secured first place overall, while the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps men’s and women’s teams both placed fourth in the event. The P-P men’s win was especially impressive, considering the fact that several
