On Sept. 7 and 8, the Stags and Sagehens men’s water polo teams left the comfort of Claremont to face Division I foes at UC San Diego’s Triton Invitational. Hens softball parlays with Pirates, split weekend double header versus Whitworth
Sagehens softball shut out the Whitworth Pirates 5-0 in the first game of their preseason double-header on Friday, Feb. 16 but couldn’t achieve the sweep and fell in the afternoon 4-2 at home. Though they kept the energy up through all seven innings, the Hens had a hard time converting this energy to runs in the batter’s box.
Underclassmen sharp shooters come alive in second half as Sagehens take the Sixth Street crown
In their last home game of the season the Sagehens displayed their three-point shooting and flapped their way to the top of the scoreboard to bring home the sixth street trophy on Saturday, Feb. 10 at Voelkel Gym with a final score of 67-54.

The D1 UClA Bruins unleashed the beast in a sudden death defeat of Pomona-Pitzer women’s lacrosse in the preseason opener. Nevertheless, the Sagehens saw great debuts from a number of freshmen and started the process of making on-field adjustments.
