The Huntley Bookstore is turning a new page. After leaving its home of 51 years, the store settled into a temporary location on the first floor of Honnold Mudd Library, reopening to the public Feb. 7.

In a first for Scripps College, an international student advisor will facilitate the academic and institutional needs of international students. Ge-Yao Liu arrived at Scripps this semester, coming from a post as associate director for the Center of Global Engagement at San Francisco State University.
Pomona Writing Center prepares for a more holistic rebranding this April
Just as the Pomona College Writing Center has expanded its support for students beyond the realm of writing, its name will now match the range of support offered. This April, the center will officially be renamed “The Pomona College Center for Speaking, Writing, and the Image.”
Pitzer President Melvin Oliver to retire at the end of 2021-22 academic year
Pitzer College President Melvin Oliver will retire from his post at the end of the 2021-2022 academic year, he announced in an email to the Pitzer community Thursday. He served as the school’s sixth president, beginning his tenure July 1, 2016 and becoming the first Black president of any of the Claremont Colleges.
Norovirus is back, Pitzer says
As students returned to campus earlier this semester, so did another bout of stomach ailments, mostly affecting students at Pitzer College. At least 23 students have experienced symptoms of what the college deduces to be norovirus, according to an email to the community by Pitzer Chief Operating Officer Laura Troendle.

Claremont Colleges have first right to buy Claremont School of Theology campus, state court rules
In the latest development in a five-year legal battle between the Claremont Colleges and the Claremont School of Theology, the Superior Court of California ruled Jan. 14 in favor of the Claremont Colleges’ legal right to repurchase the land owned by CST. The graduate school is now prohibited from leasing or selling the land to third parties.
