The Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) men’s water polo team lost 22-14 in a hard-fought battle to the UC Irvine Anteaters in the annual Gary Troyer Tournament on Oct. 5 at Haldeman Pool. The Anteaters took the lead early, but the Hens refused to give up.

On Sept. 7 and 8, the Stags and Sagehens men’s water polo teams left the comfort of Claremont to face Division I foes at UC San Diego’s Triton Invitational. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps’ (CMS) 12-11 win against UC Merced allowed the newest players to showcase their abilities before the start of the regular season.

Kingsmen tried to rein, but the Sagehens had other ideas. The Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) men’s water polo team took Cal Lutheran for a watery ride on Oct 7, sinking the Kingsmen’s dreams of victory with a decisive 15-9 victory.
