The P-P women’s water polo team (20-13, 14-0 SCIAC) fell 10-9 to Cal Lutheran (21-8, 12-2 SCIAC) in the SCIAC Championship last Saturday after beating La Verne (11-14, 9-5 SCIAC) 9-8 in the semifinal the day before.

In the championship, P-P trailed 5-4 at halftime, but held onto a 9-8 lead midway through the fourth period. However, the Regals scored twice in just over a minute to take the lead and then played keep-away for much of the remaining three minutes. Anna Yu PO ’19 and Natalie Hill PO ’19 each had two goals in their final game for the Sagehens.
