RECAP: Gordy, Park lead Stags tennis to sweep of ranked opponents in Claremont

No. 6 CMS men’s tennis swept Division III opponents Mary Washington and Christopher Newport Sunday at home, using five pairs to win all six doubles points in dual match play.

Captain Julian Gordy CM ’19 won the No. 1 doubles match with partner Nikolai Parodi CM ’20 and then won the No. 2 singles match in straight sets. Captain Daniel Park CM ’20 won at No. 3 doubles with partner Casey Morris CM ’21 and then came back to win at No. 3 singles. Morris also added a win at No. 4 singles.

The team also sent representatives to the Pacific Coast Men’s Doubles Championship in La Jolla, where Jack Katzman CM ’21 and Robert Liu CM ’21 won three rounds, including two over pairs from UC San Diego and UCLA.
