CMS volleyball continues win streak in four set win against P-P

On Saturday Oct. 11, Sixth Street was quiet — except inside Voelkel Gymnasium. The Athenas stormed into Sagehen territory and left with their fourth straight victory. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) volleyball came out hot, and when the Sagehens flared back to life in the second set, the Athenas slammed the door shut.

Dominating through the decades; This Stag sweep marks the nineteenth consecutive sixth-street loss for the sagehens volleyball team history. With five consecutive SCIAC section championships, a cast of killers, and zero sets dropped in league play so far this season, the Athenas are flawless. The Sagehens made it competitive, but they couldn’t stand with the champs.

No. 1 Athenas volleyball triumphs over Sagehens in Sixth Street rivalry

No one is surprised and 3/5 of the 5Cs are happy. The No. 1 ranked CMS women’s volleyball team sent the Sagehens back to their nests with beaks dragging on Saturday when they defeated them three sets to none. This Sixth Street rivalry game ended in favor of the Athenas, who are continuing their unbeaten streak and have yet to lose a single set in conference play.
