BLAREMONT MAG is a new magazine featuring Black students through photographs, videos and written stories. Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director Rahim Chilewa PZ ’27 pioneered the project, which he envisions as a way to share the stories of Black students through art.

Many students cite the tote as a primary reason for subscribing to the magazine, while others searched the online resale market. Many believe the tote has transcended its original function due to its signage value: the bag signals that its owner is well-read and cultured.

East Sixth Street, a creative online magazine for all artists in Claremont, was founded last year by co-executive editors Lena Proctor CM ’21 and Elton Smole CM ’21, along with a group of their friends. After one year, they have expanded into holding regular live events for the 5C community,
