RECAP: Stag baseball sweeps 3-game set against Caltech

After dropping two of three games to Pomona-Pitzer (17-18, 7-17 SCIAC), CMS baseball (18-12-1, 11-10 SCIAC) rebounded to take three games from Caltech (8-23, 5-16 SCIAC) last Friday and Saturday. The Stags scored 15 runs in the series, allowing just five.

In the second game, CMS starter Diego Avila CM ’22 threw six innings of shutout ball as team captain Zach Clarke CM ’20 went 3-for-4. In game three, starter Brandon Mitchell CM ’21 threw six innings, allowing one run, and Clarke went 3-for-3 with two of the Stags’ 15 RBIs.
