RECAP: Sagehen baseball squad wins 1 of 3 against Whittier

The Sagehen baseball team (15-14, 5-13 SCIAC) went 1-2 against Whittier (16-15, 6-9 SCIAC) last week, losing at home Friday 5-3, before winning the first game of a doubleheader at Whittier Saturday 7-3, then losing 6-3.

Jack Damelio PO ’22 was responsible for most of the Sagehens’ runs in their one win, as he went 3-5 with five RBIs. A single in the top of the third brought home two runners to give P-P a 2-1 lead. Damelio hit another two-RBI single in the top of the seventh and an RBI double in the top of the eighth to bring in the Sagehens’ final run.
