RECAP: Sagehen baseball puts up a fight, drops 3 straight to Chapman

The P-P baseball team (17-18, 7-17 SCIAC) got swept by Chapman (27-9, 16-5 SCIAC) last week, falling 9-6 at home Friday, before losing on the road 3-2 and 6-5 Saturday. In the first game P-P was up 3-2 at the bottom of the fourth, before giving up seven runs over the next two innings.

Both games of the doubleheader went down to the wire. In the first, P-P tied the game at two before the Panthers scored the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth. In the final game, P-P got out to a 5-0 lead before giving up six straight runs to seal another loss.
