Recap: P-P men’s swim and dive completes undefeated SCIAC dual meet season

Alex Werner PZ ’22 took down a Haldeman Pool record in the 200 breaststroke as the Pomona-Pitzer women’s swim and dive team (7-4, 7-1 SCIAC) took down Caltech 220-72 on Saturday. The men’s team (10-1, 8-0 SCIAC) downed Caltech 233-51 to complete a perfect season — its first in the modern SCIAC era.

Ryan Drover PZ ’19, Erik Garcia PO ’19, Nathan Hahn PO ’19 and Jack Swanson PO ’19 each picked up individual event wins for the men on their Senior Day; Jason Lu PO ’22 also won two events. For the women, Maddie Kauahi PZ ’19 won the 100 freestyle and Werner picked up an additional win in the 100 breaststroke.

The Sagehens will host Claremont-Mudd-Scripps for an unscored invitational this weekend as a final tune-up before the SCIAC Championships.
