The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps swim and dive teams swept their tri-meet against Cal Lutheran and La Verne on Senior Day, with the Athenas (8-4, 8-0 SCIAC) beating the Regals 234-58 and Leopards 234-50 to complete an undefeated SCIAC dual meet season. The Stags (7-5, 7-1 SCIAC) took down Cal Lutheran 218-78 and La Verne 251-30.
Seniors Jackson Crewe HM ’19, Jacque Desmond SC ’19, John Everett CM ’19, Torrey Hart CM ’19 and Aaron Lutzker HM ’19 each picked up an event win. Nick Tan HM ’22 picked up individual wins in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, and 200 IM, and fellow first-year Augusta Lewis CM ’22 won three of her own: the 100 breaststroke, 100 freestyle and 200 IM.
The team will compete this weekend at the Pomona-Pitzer Invite, then take a weekend off before returning for the SCIAC Championships on February 20-24.
