CMS (2-3, 0-0 SCIAC) began its week with a win over Redlands, 11-6. Former goalie Chandlyr Denaro CM ’21 led the way with four goals. The team dropped its second Saturday game to Cal State East Bay 10-4, held scoreless for the entire first half.
The game of the week came Wednesday night, as Amelia Ayala CM ’21 and Alex Szymczak SC ’22 combined for six CMS goals in the Athenas’ 7-6 victory over visiting University of Toronto. Ayala’s final shot was the game-winner in a thrilling seventh overtime.
