
The No. 9 P-P men’s basketball team (23-2, 15-1 SCIAC) saw its 18-game winning streak snapped in a 64-63 road loss to Occidental (21-4, 12-4 SCIAC) on Feb. 16, before bouncing back with a 90-67 win over Caltech (10-15, 4-12 SCIAC). Trailing by 10 at halftime against Oxy, the Sagehens battled back but missed two shots in the final minute while trailing by one. Corbin Koch PO ’19 had 18 points and eight rebounds in the loss.
The Sagehens pulled away from Caltech in the second half to pick up a big win heading into the SCIAC tournament. They were led by Daniel Rosenbaum PO ’19, who had 24 points and 7 rebounds. Koch and Rosenbaum, the only seniors on the team, were honored before the game. P-P will face Redlands (15-10, 10-6 SCIAC) in the SCIAC semifinals Friday.
