LA Fair Hosts Claremont Colleges Day

The L.A. County Fair had a Claremont Colleges College Day on Thursday, Sept. 20, during which all 5C students received free admission with an online coupon. To celebrate, the Scripps College Activities Team (A-Team) provided free shuttles to the fair throughout the night, and the Associated Students of Pomona College (ASPC) took the Sagecoach full of students.

The Fair opened on Aug. 31 and is running through this Sunday, Sept. 30. Highlights include carnival rides, a petting zoo and other animals including a “zorse” (zebra-horse mix), and a wide variety of fried foods (Oreos, cookie dough, Kool-Aid, avocado and more). The fair also has showcased various musical talent, such as Carly Rae Jepsen and a sold out Boyz II Men performance on the evening of Claremont Colleges Day.

Admittance to the fair is normally $17 or less, depending on day and time.
