Gabby Giffords returns to Scripps for documentary screening about her resilience, hope and fight to end gun violence

On March 7, Scripps showcased a screening of “Gabby Giffords Won’t Back Down,” which told the story of Scripps alum and former congresswoman Gabby Giffords’ experience recovering from being shot in the head and advocating for gun control. Giffords, the film’s producer Lisa Erspamer and co-founder and executive director of Giffords’ nonprofit Peter Ambler answered questions from the audience after the screening.

Emergency Services Club, End Overdose work to provide students with resources to end fentanyl overdoses

Fentanyl strips and NARCAN are coming to the 5Cs. In an attempt to reduce fentanyl-related incidents and overdoses, the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) club and the End Overdose organization are working with college student bodies and organizations at the Claremont Colleges to make fentanyl strips and NARCAN accessible to students across the 5Cs.
