It was a winning weekend for the P-P men’s and women’s swim and dive teams, with back-to-back victories against Fresno Pacific at home, then La Verne and Cal Lutheran in a tri-dual meet. The Sagehens dispatched the DII competitors from Fresno with a score of 162-75 for the women and 165-69 for the men. On the men’s side, P-P swimmers topped the leaderboards in nine of 13 events, with Will Abele PO ’20 winning both the 200-yard freestyle and the 200-yard butterfly with times of 1:42.93 and 1:54.10, respectively. On Saturday, the Hens soundly defeated SCIAC opponents La Verne and Cal Lu, with newcomer Abby Smith PO ’23 winning both the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle for the women.
