Despite falling to Chicago in two of three doubles matches, CMS men’s tennis (17-1, 0-0 SCIAC) rattled off wins in five of six singles matchups to take down No. 1 Chicago 6-3 Friday at home. The Stags followed that up with a 9-0 shutout over UC Santa Cruz, then a 7-2 win against No. 2 Middlebury — the defending national champions.

On an upperclassman-heavy CMS squad, it was Nic Meister CM ’22 who clinched the Stags’ victory over Middlebury in the No. 6 singles spot, winning 6-2, 6-3.
