The CMS baseball team (1-1, 0-0 SCIAC) dropped the first game of a doubleheader against Occidental 2-0 before having the second game canceled due to rain last Saturday.
Despite the loss, starter Justin Hull CM ’20 went seven strong innings, striking out eight and allowing just one run on five hits. Reliever Diego Avila CM ’22 allowed one run and walked two in the eighth inning before being pulled, but Nico Mannucci CM ’21 and Danny Porras CM ’21 combined to strike out four batters and allow zero runs over the final six outs.
