The P-P men’s and women’s track and field teams competed in a SCIAC dual meet last weekend, going up against Redlands and La Verne, while the men’s team also sent multiple athletes to UCLA and to the Bay Area to run distance races.

The men’s team beat La Verne 81-80, but fell to Redlands 118-45. The women’s team came away with the same results, beating La Verne 87-72 but losing to Redlands 107-52. Vicky-Marie Addo-Ashong PO ’20 had a very successful day, matching a personal best of 1.6 meters in the high jump, good for second place, and finishing first overall in the Triple Jump with a distance of 11.6 meters.

Danny Rosen PO ’20 finished first in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at UCLA, putting up the fastest Division III time this season with a 9:04.54.

Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly stated that Vicky-Marie Addo-Ashong set a personal best in the Javelin throw with a distance of 28.61 meters, while her personal best is actually 30.84 meters. TSL regrets this error.
