RECAP: P-P Softball goes 4-0 against SCIAC opponents with strong play from Rodarte, Otsuka

The P-P softball team (20-7-1, 12-4 SCIAC) had a dominant week against SCIAC opponents, going 4-0 against Cal Lutheran (8-19, 2-13 SCIAC) and Whittier (10-14-1, 7-9 SCIAC). After handling Cal Lu in a road doubleheader March 29, winning 8-0 and 14-5, the Sagehens came home to beat Whittier 8-7 and 5-1 the next day.

Liz Rodarte PZ ’19 threw a gem in the first matchup against Cal Lu, picking up nine strikeouts and allowing just one run in a five-inning shutout victory. Megan Otsuka PZ ’22 led the Sagehens offensively in the doubleheader, going 6-8 with four RBIs and four runs.
