RECAP: First years carry Stags and Athenas as CMS track & field earns top finished at P-P All-Comers

Abigail Johnson SC ’21 led the Athenas to a one-two-three-four sweep of the one-mile race at the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers meet last weekend, finishing in 5:06.85. Olivia Gleason SC ’21, Natalie Marsh SC ’19 and Riley Harmon SC ’22 followed, with Matilda Msall SC ’19 taking sixth and Morgan Blevins HM ’19 eighth. Amanda Gallop SC ’20 finished in the top-10 finishes in three field events, including third place in the shot put, fifth in the javelin and seventh in the discus.

The Stags earned three first-place finishes. Keizo Morgan HM ’22 won the 800-meter race in 1:57.91, Miles Christensen HM ’22 won the mile in 4:14.26 (nearly four seconds ahead of the second-place finisher) and Maxwell Knowles CM ’20 won the javelin title with a throw of 179 feet, 11 inches. The 4×400 relay team of Nohl Patterson CM ’22, Cameron Finley CM ’20, Daniel Addison CM ’21 and Morgan tacked on a second place finish behind UC San Diego.
