The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women’s lacrosse team (6-1, 5-0 SCIAC) lost to Colorado College 12-10 last Sunday, its first regular-season loss to a Division III team since 2017. The Athenas were also bounced from the 2018 NCAA tournament by the Tigers.

The team bounced back in a big way Wednesday night, taking down SCIAC opponent Chapman 16-3. The game was a close 5-3 early in the second half, but the Athenas closed out the game with 11 unanswered goals. Corie Hack CM ’19 led scorers with five goals; Sally Abel CM ’21 followed with three of her own.
