            Commissioner of Communications_x000D_
Jesse Pollak PO ’15 reported to the Senate last week that TurboVote, an online_x000D_
voter registration program, had registered around 140 new voters and helped_x000D_
over 250 students requested ballots by mail through TurboVote. Although the_x000D_
program might have registered more potential voters if Pomona had signed up for_x000D_
the service more than a day before it ended, the success of TurboVote,_x000D_
according to Pollak, “isn’t nothing.” ASPC election turnouts this year on the_x000D_
other hand…yeah, that was pretty much nothing.

            A panel of_x000D_
administrators fondly refered to by the ASPC Senate as “Snack People” came to_x000D_
address the topic on everyone’s minds: just exactly how Harvey Mudd won that_x000D_
TSwift concert. Seriously though, Vice President and Treasurer of the College_x000D_
assured the Senate that “Nobody is trying to get rid of Snack.” Director of_x000D_
Campus Services Bob Robinson outlined some concrete changes that will happen to_x000D_
Snack including closing the serve area and moving food back to the tables, implementing_x000D_
a 21 item rotating menu that includes corn dogs, and CONTINUING TO GIVE POMONA_x000D_
STUDENTS FREE FOOD 4 NIGHTS A WEEK.

            Elections Supervisor Will Gamber_x000D_
presented a brief breakdown of this semester’s ASPC Elections to the Senate_x000D_
last week. Gamber explained that turnout was down (from it’s already low rate),_x000D_
which might have been due to a lack of tabling and the fact that elections were_x000D_
earlier this year in comparison to other years. The voting breakdown went as_x000D_
follows: 180 votes for North Campus Rep, 394 for South Campus Rep, 223 for_x000D_
Freshman Class President, 239 for Sophomore Class President, and none for_x000D_
Gretchen Weiners.
