Cellphone stolen from person’s hands on Pomona campus

Two men in dark clothing allegedly rushed an individual and stole a cellphone out of their hands in front of the Oldenborg Center on Pomona College’s south campus around 10 p.m. Wednesday, officials said.

The men were described as 20-25 years old and wearing dark clothing, according to an announcement from Campus Safety. The suspects allegedly fled in a dark sedan in the direction of Pomona’s Seaver House and Claremont Village.

No one was injured, Campus Safety said. People with information about the incident can call Campus Safety at 909-607-2000.
