
A carjacking was reported Thursday afternoon near the Smith Campus Center at Pomona College, officials said.
Campus Safety and the Claremont Police Department were informed of a carjacking near the intersection of East Sixth Street and North College Way at 1:13 p.m., according to a Campus Safety email alert.
The suspect, described as a male wearing a brown striped shirt and black pants, held out a knife and demanded the car, the email said. He has short hair and is believed to be 21 to 25 years old.
The reported stolen vehicle is described as a Grey 2003 Honda Civic 4 door, with a California license plate of 5CRL665, the email said.
No injuries were reported.
