Athenas cross country ‘Packs-Up’ the season with 13th straight SCIAC title, advances to NCAA Regional Championships

Lucky number 13? Like something out of a Greek epic, the Athenas “Apollo-gized” to no one and sprinted across the finish line last weekend, “Zeus-staining” their winning streak. On Saturday, Oct. 28, the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) women’s cross-country team earned their thirteenth straight SCIAC championship title, and finished with six runners in the top 10.

Walk on wonder hits the ground running to two-time XC All-American

All-American runner Natalie Bitetti CM ’24 describes cross country as “a very simple sport.” Well, that might be easy for her to say. After finishing in the top 20 of every race in her debut season, and winning SCIAC athlete of the week after each race she ran in her junior season, all Bitetti knows is winning. The decorated athlete was originally recruited for CMS’s softball team, but after running just one season in high school she made the bold choice to walk onto the cross country team and has been a star ever since.
