Meet TSL’s Spring 2026 editorial board

A new semester at the Claremont Colleges brings new leaders to the helm of TSL. Adam Akins PZ ’27, Claire Welch SC ’27 and Joelle Rudolf SC ’28 have officially taken the reins as the newspaper’s spring 2026 editorial board. Rudolf noted the importance of student journalism in a time when the press is under fire. She said she believes TSL has the ability to identify oppression — especially regarding institutions that need to be held accountable — and tell stories to address it.

At 7 p.m. last Saturday, Nov. 15, the Claremont Shades hosted SCAMFest, the annual collegiate acapella festival at the Claremont Colleges. After months of preparation, the Shades hosted this year’s event to an auditorium full of enthused Claremont students and visitors.

Mapping the history and future of the BDS movement with Shaheen Nassar’s presentation of “Beyond Recognition”

On Oct. 7, the two year anniversary of the Israel-Hamas war, several organisations including 7C SWANA hosted guest speaker Shaheen Nassar, a member of the “Irvine 11,” for a talk at the Motley Coffeehouse titled “Beyond Recognition.” Over 100 students crowded into the Motley at 3pm to listen as Nassar detailed the historical context for the current situation in Gaza, and spoke to other issues including the Boycott, Divest, Sanction (BDS) Movement.
