The Stags (13-3-2, 9-1-2 SCIAC) are tournament championship-bound after consecutive shutout victories over Caltech on Nov. 2 and Occidental on Wednesday. Their 4-0 win over Caltech fell on the team’s senior day and featured four different scorers, including a goal off a diving header by midfielder Isaiah Alba CM ’20 with just nine seconds remaining. Their 2-0 semifinal triumph over Oxy was uncertain until second-half goals just four minutes apart by William Birchard CM ’21 and Ethan Tyng CM ’22. CMS will face Redlands on Saturday to determine the SCIAC champion.
