The Sagehens finished their regular season with a 5-1 win over Whittier. This win marks the tenth win of the season (10-5-1) and earns Pomona-Pitzer a second-place tie with CMS in the final SCIAC standings.

Traci Lopez PZ ’12 scored at the 4:58 minute mark for her 11th goal of the season. Midfielder Allie Tao PO ’14 put the ball into the box and Lopez finished with a first-time shot. This goal also earned Lopez the recognition of second-highest goal scorer in all of SCIAC.

Midfielder Erin Edmonds PZ ’14 scored at 31:29 off a through ball into the box from Lopez. The ball was almost in Whittier Keeper Shanna Falch’s grasp when Edmonds slid feet first to knock the ball past Falch into the goal.

Forward Lilli Barrett-O’Keefe PZ ’14 scored her first career goal at 53:25 on a breakaway. Samantha Thompson PZ ’15 played the ball over the Whittier defense and Barrett-O’Keefe carried the ball down the field. Barrett-O’Keefe scored a second goal less than a minute and a half later. Dana Christensen PZ ’15 assisted Barrett-O’Keefe on another breakaway goal.

At 56:08, Chelsea Irha put a point on the scoreboard for Whittier off a pass from Madison Shipherd. With 4:21 left in play, Claudia Zaugg PO ’13 scored the fifth goal for the Sagehens from an assist by Edmonds.
