CMS football (2-1, 0-0 SCIAC) started and ended strong Saturday with a 24-17 triumph over non-conference opponent Pacific Lutheran. The Stags’ 17-0 lead in the second quarter ended suddenly with two touchdowns from the Lutes, making it 17-14 at the beginning of the second half. CMS came together to pull ahead for a solid final lead. Running back Garrett Cheadle HM ’20 rushed for 148 yards and scored the game-winning touchdown early in the fourth quarter.
