Hearing about the pitfalls of the United States healthcare system is nothing new to many of us, but for pregnant Black women, these struggles are even more serious and amplified than for the rest of Americans. For Chloe Gill PO ’24, this is more than just a statistic but a piece of family history. Sharing her mother’s struggles throughout her pregnancy, statistics and other stories from Black women, Gill highlights the issue of maternal healthcare for Black women and advocates for policies that specifically target it.
