ASPC and Divest 5Cs referendum results released

The results from the Associated Students of Pomona College’s (ASPC) referendum asking students fro their opinion on Pomona’s investments in Israel were released on Thursday, Feb. 22 (Figure by Unity Tambellini-Smith • The Student Life)

From Monday, Feb. 19 to Wednesday, Feb. 21, students at Pomona College voted on a campus-wide referendum hosted by the Associated Students of Pomona College (ASPC). The referendum was proposed by Divest Claremont Colleges and endorsed by 34 other on-campus student organizations. The referendum was meant to gather student opinions on divestment from companies associated with Israel, disclosure about their investments and academic boycotts from Israeli universities. 1,035 students participated in the vote.
